All-On-4 Dental Implants

What are All-on-4 Implants?

Dental Implants -Supported Dentures

The All-on-4 technology involves the placement of four carefully positioned implants to secure a denture in place. This eliminates the need for more than four implants and allows all implants to be placed in just one or two appointments. The procedure improves the fit of your denture, eliminating the need for creams, adhesive strips, and gels. It is a safe and straightforward procedure, with most implants fully healed within about six months

Why would All-on-4 Implants be needed?

If your current prosthesis is often slipping or falling out, or if it’s uncomfortable and causing you pain, you may want to consider all-on-4 implants. These implants can securely hold the denture in place, preventing it from slipping and providing a more natural-looking smile.

Who’s a good candidate for All-on-4 Implants?

Many patients are eligible for all-on-4 implants, but it’s important to have enough healthy bone mass for the implants to bond properly. If there’s bone loss, a bone grafting procedure may be recommended before the implant surgery. Your overall health and medical history will be assessed to ensure you’re a good candidate for the procedure and capable of healing properly afterward.

What happens during the procedure for All-on-4 Implants?

Dental Implants -Supported Dentures

The first step is discussing your sedative options so that we can provide you with the comfortable experience you expect. We then administer this sedation and begin the surgery. Small incisions are made through the gums and the titanium implant posts are inserted deep into the bone. The sutures may be sutured to close the area and help promote proper healing. Over about three to six months, your implants will naturally begin to fuse with the surrounding bone and become secure, stable, and virtually permanent. You’ll then come in and have a specially made denture for you after taking impressions. We’ll show you how to remove and place the dentures as needed throughout the day.
